The City of Columbia has approved a dog waste recycling center, the next step in their mandatory law which takes effect May 1st. Columbia’s new law, the Canine Recycling Acceptance Program was approved last Fall by the City Council. The new ordinance requires all dog waste to be collected and placed in the new brown recycling bags. These bags, along with the blue recycling bags and the black trash bags, will be supplied by the city of Columbia by way of the “voucher” program.
