Caught this news this morning from KOMU Channel 8, the office of the violence prevention in Columbia is changing Columbia's approach to gun violence prevention. Okay. Apparently we're going to team up with the NICIRPI, or what you would better know as the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform Partnership Initiative. That's too many words. He wants to talk about timelines for a 24-month collaboration project. Oh my God. 24 months. We're going to put together analyses that are going to take four to six months to try and figure out what's going on. I don't need six months to tell you what's going on. I need less than 60 seconds. Are you ready? Here we go. Get more cops on the streets. Six months ago, Edmore Police Chief Schlutie said we need 51 more cops. We need proactive policing on the streets. We need to practice that. We need to find the pipeline of the sales force that is moving stolen guns and arrest them. Continue arresting anyone illegally possessing a gun, from children to those who are convicted of violent felonies. Pick up people with warrants for their arrest. Deport illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes, and finally, get more cops on the streets. Although I think I already said that. There we go. There you go.
